Why Me?
I am a historian, which means that I am an expert at tracking down information that is difficult to find. I have spent days persistently searching through hundreds of pages of archival documents to find a single mention of a person I am studying. Historians also spend a lot of time seeking out funding for their research projects. Over the past six years, I have won nine competitive grant awards totaling $45,500 to support my historical research--and I applied for many others that I did not win!
